Meltware has three stoneware pieces — a spoon, a bowl, and a carafe — that double as molds for extending your set. You make the rest of the collection using Carnauba wax, a super-hard, waterproof wax that comes from palm trees. All you do is melt the wax in a pan, then pour it into the molds, and voila! You’ve got brand new spoons, cups, and bowls.”

I’m really fond of this idea…. I don’t see it getting popular soon (Oh, please do, prove me wrong). It’s pretty neat thinking you could melt down your plates and utensils into a compact container and then later mold it at your convenience to whatever situation you might be in at that moment. It even seems sanitary for extreme situations where you can’t wash with water, either because the water isn’t safe or you’re short on water. *Cough* future world…
